Position Description
CGI Federal is looking for a Mid-Level Technical Writer with experience in Federal or Legislative branch to develop and publish technical documentation based on client requirements for software, web applications and related maintenance tasks in order to support an application and related administrative tools. The candidate must support the development and maintenance of the application using the SCRUM Agile Process, in a series of sprints, with releases of the application.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Technical Writer on this project, the candidate will create and publish technical documentations to include test cases, reports and user stories. The candidate will collects and interprets technical data or information and coordinates layout for publication.
Must have experience working in a team environment utilizing Agile Methodology. Must have experience with:
- Prepare instruction manuals, other supporting documents to communicate complex technical information
- Develop, gather, and disseminate technical information among customers , designers and testers.
- Java (JEE 5,6,7)
- JSP/JSF/IceFaces/Grails Selenium
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
5+ years working with complex web application development using the identified technologies.
Analyzing and studying complex system requirements.
Supporting software development and assist with using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques.
Desired:
BA or BS in a business or engineering related field.
Application of advanced technical principles, theories and concepts are essential to contributing to the development team, and ensuring proper setup, configuration and functionality of system being deployed.
