Job Description Training Specialist

Position Description
CGI is looking for a Training Specialist to join our Federal Business Unit who support our Security, Administrative, Judicial, and Enforcement Programs Team. This position is to provide training support for the build of a modern Web-based automated system as part of a team using Agile Scrum methodologies. The Training Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of training including defining, planning, scheduling and developing training materials.


Your future duties and responsibilities
This position is a core resource required to assist all training delivery facets of the task order consisting of:
- Planning, defining, scheduling, and coordinating the training activities
- Conducting a training assessment
- Developing a training plan
- Defining the training curriculum
- Developing training materials (lesson plans, instructor guides, trainee guides, presentations, training simulations, online help)
- Executing train-the-trainer sessions and other familiarization sessions



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• A minimum of 3 years of relative experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Must have experience working in a team environment utilizing Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Must display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent open and proactive written communication skills with focus on grammatical and usability skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications to include Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and VISIO.
• Knowledge of industry best practices for training methodologies and have the ability to guide less experienced users and/or subject matter experts in the development of materials.
• Well versed in training and development concepts with the ability to apply said concepts to the management of a comprehensive training program.
• Possess strong project management skills and the ability to adhere to tasks within a project plan/WBS.

• Java (J2EE)
• JSP Template
• JavaScript/AJAX
• Spring (MVC,Web Services, Security,
• Batch)
• SQL, Hibernate
• Maven/Gradel
• Jenkins
• Experience in Federal or Legislative branch system
