Position Description
CGI is actively searching for a UI/UX Architect to help us bring the user experience for our wealth products to the next level. You will have the capacity to transform complex features and business requirements into simple interactions, elegant interface design and effortless user experience. Your future duties and responsibilities
• Collaborate with business, application and data architects to refine requirements and develop concept wireframes and prototype with mobile first principle.
• Define UI components, information architecture, interaction models and styleguide
• Work closely with other team Members to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with UI development team to ensure the design quality is maintained down the stream
• Provide company-wide thought leadership on usability and user-centered design principles and understand when situations require deviating from those principles
• Conduct and/or coordinate Evaluation Techniques, including Design Walkthroughs, User Feedback Sessions and formal Usability Testing to validate proposed design solutions with stakeholders and end users against usability goals.
• Represent user experience in pitch work and business development.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team in an agile environment, including the ability to coach the team on agile principles.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and quickly iterating your way to a well thought-out solution.
• Solid understanding of front-end development and are comfortable talking to developers about the details of style sheets and CSS implementation.
• Deep knowledge of internet accessibility standards and direct experience implementing accessible sites for desktop and mobile apps
• Solid understanding of mobile first and responsive design and has an eye for aesthetically pleasing compositions, appreciation for graphic design elements, and information design.
• Must be able to clearly document designs, explain design concepts to non-designers and effectively communicate project and design rationale to both designers and non-designers at all levels of the organization
• A positive, enthusiastic attitude and relentless problem solver
• Able to adapt approach and process to fit project goals, timelines and other parameters
• 5+ years UX experience of large scale websites or applications
• Expert in UX/UI software applications (Axure, Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, Sketch, Invisionapp, Illustrator, etc)
• Candidate must provide a strong portfolio with work samples showcasing UX expertise, interaction design, creativity, and depth of thought.
