Job Description UX Designer - NEW GRAD PROGRAM JAN 2018

Position Description
CGI is actively searching for a UX Designer to help us bring the user experience for our wealth products to the next level. You will work with the team in an Agile environment to bring user-centric designs to life. You will have an eye for design, but understand that the products must also work for our clients, and their clients too. You will have the capacity to transform complex features and business requirements into simple interactions, elegant interface design and effortless user experience! Technology thrills you, and you understand how design and technology work hand in hand.


Your future duties and responsibilities
- Creating/reviewing wire frames and storyboards for web and mobile.
- Documenting and/or overseeing detailed designs and interactions in a User Interface Design document.
- Planning, coordinating, facilitating usability testing including creation of prototypes.
- Collaborating with product groups, marketing team, and our internal development teams to come up with effective campaigns.
- Providing expertise and thought leadership from a human factors perspective and digital marketing best practices, content generation and maintenance perspective, business feasibility, competitive awareness and overall Internet (medium) understanding.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- In-depth understanding of user-centric design methodologies which have been successfully put into practice including usability test facilitation.
- Deep knowledge of internet accessibility standards and direct experience implementing accessible sites for desktop and mobile apps.
- Deliver wireframes, storyboards, information architecture, high-fidelity comps and take responsibility for overall quality of design deliverables for Marketing and online projects.
- In-depth understanding of electronic delivery, including Internet technology, content, capability, accessibility and implementation.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction targets from an online user experience, design and content perspective by creating and maintaining User Experience roadmaps and style guides.


Desired Skills and Experience

- Have an eye for aesthetically pleasing designs, appreciation for graphic design elements, and information design.
- Expertise in user experience issues, including HCI principles, Internet design principles, W3C standards, accessibility issues, user research techniques, and usability testing.
- Must be able to clearly document designs, explain design concepts to non-designers and effectively communicate project and design rationale to both designers and non-designers at all levels of the organization.
