Chemtech Plastics, Inc. a thermoplastic Injection Molding Company in Elgin, is seeking a detail-orientated individual with excellent organizational skills for a Systems Administrator role.


Job Duties Include:

  • Responsible for day-to-day support and maintenance of infrastructure, including all hardware, software, and telephones.

  • Setting up and maintaining servers (Windows 2012 R2-2016) in a virtual environment (using Hyper-V)

  • Responsible for administering the backup system, and replication to the cloud (Carbonite).

  • Administration of in house helpdesk system and network monitoring tools (Spiceworks)

  • Responsible for OS patching and software deployment systems (ManageEngine)

  • Administration of cloud based endpoint protection (Webroot)

  • Administration of wired and wireless network and firewall (Cisco Meraki)

  • Test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.

  • Recommend specifications for hardware/software upgrades and replacements.

  • Assist in deployment of upgraded/new hardware and software to end-users.

  • Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence.

  • Document all new or changed computer processes.

  • Maintain the hardware inventory and software licensing

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ IT experience – networking and server support experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 7-10, Microsoft Office (on premise and Office 365), and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange (2013 Standard), ERP systems, EDI, and barcoding.

  • Working knowledge of cloud-based VOIP phone systems.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors

  • SharePoint development and administration a plus

  • Programming experience (Visual Basic) a plus

  • Project Management experience in IT a big plus

  • Manufacturing environment experience required.

  • Superior organizational skills with emphasis on detail and follow up.

  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally.

  • Strong documentation skills.

  • Experience in a fast paced environment.
