Job Description

The Department of Neonatology at Children’s Minnesota is looking to add a new neonatologist to join our experienced team of over 500 neonatal experts. The successful candidate will become an integral partner within a care team of neonatologists which staffs the largest high-risk neonatal referral program in the upper Midwest and one of the largest programs in the country with 194 staffed NICU beds providing care to over 1900 newborns each year. The physician will be joining a team of neonatal nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, pediatric pharmacists, respiratory therapists, dietitians and other professionals to provide clinical expertise and compassionate care.

The department is comprised of our infant care nurseries, Level II Special Care Nurseries, and Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Units. The program covers both of our Hospital campuses in Minneapolis / St. Paul and boasts a neonatal transport program which provides both air and ground transport to more than 500 babies annually.

Children’s has also partnered with Allina Health to create The Mother Baby Center. A unique, personalized experience for mom and baby designed to provide convenient care throughout the entire childbirth journey. We have three centers located in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Coon Rapids that welcome more than 10,000 babies every year.

Our Midwest Fetal Care Center provides cutting edge maternal and fetal care for high-risk pregnancies. As the first and largest advanced fetal care center in the Upper Midwest—and one of only a few in United States—the Midwest Fetal Care Center brings together maternal fetal experts and the latest technology and treatments in a coordinated setting. The Midwest Fetal Care Center has some of the highest survival rates and the lowest rates of post-operative complications in the US.

Our pediatric cardiovascular program is one of the largest in the region and offers the newest techniques for treating cardiovascular and blood vessel conditions. Our ECMO program is the largest in the state and since 2008, it has received the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization Award for Excellence in Life Support.
