The City of Sioux City is looking for a Civil Engineer to perform professional engineering work including design of City infrastructure and review of other types of municipal projects. This position manages Capital Improvement Projects, including the oversight of project design with engineering firms hired by the City. They will also work with citizens and contractors to obtain proper permitting for all permits within the City Right-of-Way. The ideal applicant will have a degree in Civil Engineering, and will be required to have or be able to obtain an Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) Certificate issued by the Iowa State Board of Registration for Processional Engineers within one-year of hire. The applicant must become registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Iowa within five years of hire.
