The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in Geriatrics, however General/Adult candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidates requiring visa support are welcome at this facility! If selected, you will provide both inpatient and outpatient care (no ED coverage required). The largest percent of your patient panel will be geriatric. You will evaluate and manage geriatric psychiatry diagnoses, rotate within the dedicated 20-bed inpatient mental health unit, utilize ECT, see outpatients in the hospital, and at other outpatient facilities. Call is shared among three specialists currently. As the Geriatric Psychiatry Unit is experiencing growth, and constantly attracting more patients from the service area of 100,000+ residents, this additional position is the next step toward providing more resources while maintaining the highest possible level of patient care. You will join an experienced clinical and support team working in a warm, welcoming and collaborative environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This 110-bed acute care community hospital, its cutting-edge diagnostic imaging, and fully integrated EMR will impress you. Their state-of-the-art facilities support 250+ physicians and health care providers in 39+ areas of specialty, including a full time Hospitalist program. You will be employed full-time and enjoy a convenient 4-day/week schedule, earn a competitive base salary, excellent hospital benefits including: fully paid liability insurance (with tail), paid health, dental, disability and life insurance, 4 weeks of vacation, 1 week paid CME time off (with an expense budget), additional PTO for holidays and sick leave, and participation in a pension plan, and much more! Enjoy living in a state with no sales tax and no income tax! This community, and the surrounding area, offers excellent school systems both public and private, numerous well known and highly sought out colleges, and universities. This family friendly area offers numerous restaurants, shopping both malls and outlets, a wonderful children’s museum, live theatre, golf, and outdoor concerts. Enjoy 4 seasons of recreational activities including: boating, kayaking, camping, mountain climbing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting & fishing, skiing both downhill & cross-country, snowshoeing on or around the many lakes, ponds and mountains. The ocean is an easy 20 minute drive away. Boston is less than a 90 minute drive, or you can take the "Downeaster" into the city and enjoy the scenery along the way. Portland, Maine and the White Mountains are favorite areas of residents to explore about an hour away. Enjoy the best of both rural and urban worlds!
