Renowned pediatric practice in beautiful Montgomery County is looking for a BC pediatrician to join the team. Flexible four or five day work schedule. Great benefits, team culture and low turnover.

1. Clinical Commitment
1. Seeing patients 4 or 5 day per week (20-25 patients per day on average).
1. Generally, hours are 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
2. Once a week (M-Th), hours will be 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM.
1. Rounding at the hospital in equal rotation with 8 other doctors. Rounding includes seeing newborns in the well baby nursery (average 3) and social visits to hospitalized patients. The rounding doctor is allotted 80 minutes at the beginning of the day to allow plenty of time for rounding without having to start early, in general. If there are more than 5 babies who need to be seen, then the rounding doctor is given more time later in day or be expected to return during lunch or after hours.
2. Weeknight Call – in equal rotation with 8 other doctors. We employ a nurse triage company, so first call will go to them and the on-call doctor is responsible for complex calls and hospital calls (generally 0-3 calls/night)
3. Weekend call – in equal rotation with 7 other doctors. Again, we employ the nurse triage company to take first call. Weekend call physician is responsible for rounding at the hospital and taking second call. Average number of calls is 10-20 for the weekend.
4. Saturday office hours. In general, there are physicians who participate in covering Saturday office hours 8AM-12PM. In equal rotation, physician will be asked to cover Saturday office hours. For 2016, that will equal 2 Saturdays each year, max will be 7 Saturdays a year.
5. Holidays – coverage in equal rotation for New Years Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Christmas Day.
6. MLK, Presidents Day and Thanksgiving – you will be asked to cover one each school calendar year in equal rotation with 9 other physicians.
