IT Support Technician - Level II

We are seeking a Level II IT Support Technician to join our team! You will resolve computer-related issues for your clients.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing comprehensive enterprise level systems administration experience with servers 2008+.
- Perform installation and maintain daily operation of Servers, Server Operating Systems, Virtual Systems, SAN, and NAS systems.
- Perform installation and maintain daily operations of LAN, WLAN and WAN equipment.
- Maintains network standards, quality control standards, and data security for networks.
- Develops and maintains security while maintaining system integrity.
- Responsible for daily backups, system fault tolerance and the development and maintenance of the disaster recovery plan for microcomputing.
- Revises and maintains disaster recovery plans for customers who this service is part of their plan to ensure the availability of technology to clients.
- Must have the ability to oversee all aspects of data center operations including but not limited to hardware lifecycle, cable management, environmental controls, maintenance of schematics, inventory management, and future planning.
- Resolve issues for clients via phone, in person, or electronically
- Recommend hardware and software improvements
- Track customer issues and resolutions
- Provide Down Level Assistance to Level 1 Technicians
- Maintains up to date documentation on client systems
- Maintains network standards, quality control standards, and data security for networks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 Years experience in IT at an enterprise level system/server administration in a production environment.
- VMWare support experience required. VCP preferred.
- Additional certifications are highly desired.
- SQL and SQL scripting.
- Proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- In depth enterprise level experience with server operating systems, server hardware, and applications including Exchange, SQL, and Veeam.
- Experience with PowerShell and VBScripting.
- Preferred Experience in Managed Services and Ticketing Environment
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Associates Degree in Information Technology or equivalent job experience Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Preferred
- Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record and reliable transportation required.
Availability:
- Generally 8 x 5 Monday Through Friday
- On call and After Hours Work Required as dictated by the job
