Your Role

Reporting to the Director Sales & Marketing, you will join a US team that includes one other Marketing Specialist. The team also interacts with marketing teams in other EGGER locations around the world. While you'll concentrate on digital marketing, our initial push is on direct marketing to distributors, so you'll also contribute to tradition marketing, including POS materials and more.

As direct marketing gains momentum, you will take point on indirect marketing, targeting end users such as millworkers, architects and designers who might specify our products. Your main projects will include:
  • Developing and launching our US webpage. Quick question for you - click here
  • Developing campaign strategy across digital channels
  • Developing event concepts tied in with digital campaigns, such as a cross-country road show

Please note that this description is intended to give you a general overview of the position and is not an exhaustive listing of duties and responsibilities.

Video: Digital communications, platforms and tools are becoming increasingly important in our business. Innovation is an essential part of our competitive edge, and you will help us stay ahead of the curve in the online world.

What's in It for You

Own the impact
You will create the web "face" of EGGER for the US, a market we expect to become very significant in our organization. You'll showcase your strategic thinking, and also keep your hands-on skills sharp. We would love to see a future in which digital marketing in the US sets the standard for other markets.

Hone your innovation
We are wide open to new ideas, and you'll have opportunities on an ongoing basis to develop new tools for our customers and employees. Just a few ideas: new apps for selecting products, an eLearning system to help train internal and external sales people, or augmented reality glasses for use at the point of sale.

Professional development
Because we are a small team in the US, you'll expand your skills and experience in just about all areas of marketing. In addition, you will help shape this new role moving forward. As the US business grows, the marketing team may grow -- at that point we may be looking for proven performers to step up.

Leadership through innovation
We have a very strong concept to bring to the market, backed by global market leadership that is clearly ahead of the competition. When others want to know where our industry is headed, they look to EGGER. We're certainly proud of this, but we're sharing it not to brag but to assure you that this initiative has strong potential for long-range success.

Impact from the beginning
You'll be one of the first team members to join us as we take on this exciting initiative. We have established a strong network of distributors, primarily large lumber yards, have product on the ground, and a new line of innovative products. Everything is in place except the interest in our products. You will play an essential role in sharing our story and communicating our unique value proposition, allowing you to make an impact from the beginning.

Family culture
We are a family-owned business and a company that respects and values our employees. You will never be just a number here. At EGGER, every human being has relevance and makes a difference. We appreciate our employees and value their contributions.

Excellent compensation
In addition to a competitive salary and bonus opportunity, we offer a benefits package including medical and other insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, mileage allowance, reimbursement of business expenses, a cell phone, iPad and/or laptop and more.

Pictured: EGGER headquarters in Austria were built mainly built with the company's own products. The cutting-edge, environmentally friendly design is a testament to EGGER's innovative sense of style.

Keys to Success

You will "own" the digital strategy, but you'll also need to work within the structure of the larger corporate marketing organization. The US markets are unique, and you'll help us better understand customer behaviors in each. The messaging needs to be tailored accordingly, but it also will need to be consistent with global messaging.

Marketing operates in a matrix or network model, so you will need to work effectively with others, including people in Europe and other locations. A positive, outgoing personality will serve you well. Rather than focusing on titles and job descriptions, we all work together to deliver results. Everyone wears multiple hats and we'll expect you to remain flexible.

At the same time, you'll need to be resourceful and able to achieve individual goals independently. The General Director travels extensively. Support will always be just a phone call away, but the more you are able to get answers and move forward on your own, the more effective you will be.

At EGGER we hold ourselves to high expectations, and we'll look to you to be open to feedback. You also should be willing to speak up and express your ideas. In a new venture like this, we expect that processes will evolve. Those who excel have the courage to take some calculated risks.
