The Requirements
To be a good fit for the Product Manager opportunity, you will have:- A bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of product management experience with deep particleboard and thermally fused laminate product knowledge
- Strong understanding of direct (e.g. kitchen & bath cabinet, residential and office furniture or similar manufacturers) and indirect (e.g. millworkers, architects, designers) markets
- Knowledge and understanding of North American quality standards and requirements, including:
- American National Standard for Particleboards(ANSI A208.1)
- NEMA Standards
- KCMA Standards
- Knowledge of LEED building certification is highly preferred
- Demonstrated success managing projects through the complete product lifecycle
- Familiarity with a variety of the product management concepts, practices and procedures, including sound pricing strategies
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Startup experience or success in a company undergoing rapid growth is an advantage

You also will need to be willing and able to travel, sometimes internationally. You may travel to meet with test labs and institutes, distributors or end customers and to attend trade shows. Internationally you may travel to our global headquarters in Austria or to other Egger locations in Europe.

The Role
Opportunity SnapshotCoordinating all technical matters with the Corporate Product Management and reporting to the U.S. Director Sales & Marketing, who keeps the disciplinary responsibility for this new role, as Product Manager for our interior design materials portfolio, you will serve a critical and central role in the development of product strategy for the North American market. You will serve as a product expert, helping determine which existing Egger products should be included in our initial product offering, as well as working on new products going forward. Your primary mission will be to support a product portfolio that will engage the market with innovation and value, meet quality standards and compliance requirements, and deliver a strong revenue stream.
Role Details
Upon joining us, you will undergo an intense on-boarding and product training in Europe. Then, leveraging your knowledge of the market, as well as available data, you will help adapt the European portfolio to fit North American market trends and industry standards. Together with Corporate Product Management, you will first develop and create the portfolio strategy, then take on specific projects, managing the complete product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch analysis. You will determine product, pricing, packaging, sales tools and more for each product you are responsible for.
This role is the important link between Corporate Product Management, market and will implement the strategy in the North American Furniture & Interior Design market.
More specifically, you will:
- Analyze product performance, competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develop strategies with your Team in Europe for each product based on your research, analysis and experience.
- Work with the sales team on launches to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies and develop sales tools.
- Direct and oversee all aspects of product lifecycle management including understanding market demands, trends and the competitive field.
- Manage the defined strategic product roadmap and product development.
- Support product launches through forecasting, pricing and profitability analysis to gain maximum benefit from each product.
- Build strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Gain buy-in from others; influence and direct product-specific activities.
