Berlin is a beautiful mountainside town that attracts recreational tourists in all seasons. Enjoy scenic vistas at every turn! With a community population of about 16,000, you will appreciate clean, friendly, small-town living in a place where physicians are respected.

Berlin is perfect for people who want a beautiful place to live, work and play. Outdoor activities abound here, with unlimited trails for hiking or mountain biking in the White Mountains, plus fishing and hunting, kayaking and canoeing, horseback riding, golf, camping, snowmobiling and more. Choose among several popular ski resorts within an hours drive for cross-country or alpine skiing.

This is a wonderful place to raise a family: First-rate local schools earn awards for quality, and the degree of parental involvement they receive. Private schools in Maine and New Hampshire offer additional options in attractive locations that may be commutable for you. Montessori schools operate in several towns.

Housing costs here are also quite reasonable! Many physicians purchase homes with substantial amounts of land (10-100 acres) granting magnificent mountain views!

New Hampshire is a financially attractive state with no sales tax and no income tax.

Berlin offers reasonable access to larger cities (2-2.5 hours to Portland, Maine; Burlington, Vermont; and Manchester, NH). The nearest major metropolitan areas include Boston and Montreal (3-3.5 hours).
