Construction - Project Engineer (Entry Level)

Work in a small family office environment with great work/life balance as a Project Engineer. We are looking to add a long-term member to our growing team.

SUMMARY:

• Work with and learn from our Construction Management Team to assist on and support residential, commercial, government and industrial projects.

• Provide construction estimation, engineering, scheduling of stakeholder meetings, budget monitoring, and project on-going documentation.

• Other duties include bid process coordination and submittal of bid proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS & DETAILS:

• 1-4+ years of experience in construction as entry-level engineer, project manager or related position. Internship as prior experience is fine.
• Estimate on small projects and assistant estimator on larger scale jobs.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; Adobe Acrobat.
• Bonus: proficient in MS Project.
• Knowledgeable in Construction Terminology.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a self-starter.
• Attend all walkthroughs and Pre-Bid Meetings.
• Identify need for and create Change Orders.
• Prepare subcontractor contracts and monitor subcontractor progress to ensure optimal performance.
• Check drawings, project close-out documents.
• Job site inspection, supervision, documentation.
• Support bid process - bid invitations and documentation to subcontractors to solicit bids. Follow up on proposals and status of bidding.
• Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Architectural degree preferred.
