Civil Engineering Designer

Established Civil Engineering firm in Escondido is seeking applicants for a Civil Engineering Designer.

Excel Engineering, Escondido, CA is a Civil Engineering/Surveying Consultant Firm that currently employs about 25 professionals. Excel is looking for candidates to fill these positions: 

Civil Engineering Designer to assist one of our design teams. Typical work will include preparing and processing Grading and Improvement Plans for a wide variety of projects, doing grading design work, road and striping design, drainage studies, water quality reports, cost estimates, submittal packages, various exhibits, agency corrections, etc. Job includes coordinating with agency staff, other consultants, clients, team members, etc.

The ideal engineer is/has:

• 5 Years experience in Civil Engineering design
• BS in Civil Engineering
• EIT or PE a plus
• Excellent computer skills, AutoCAD, Civil 3D experience a must
• Experience with Agency requirements and regulations
• Talented, creative, and well organized
• An understanding of basic construction methods
• Experienced in the thorough preparation of construction docs
• Willing to learn company design methods/procedures and take direction
• Able to effectively and simultaneously manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Able to coordinate small to large assignments with supervision from Project Manager
