General Job Requirements


Responsible for performing and documenting all applicable testing processes related to the assigned business function and the communication and resolution of findings and other issues.  Participates in agile scrum and participates on sprint teams to write test cases and plans for bugs and new features.  Anticipates and implements changes to the testing plans as a result of changes in InfinityHR’s business environment including application changes. Partners with internal and external stakeholders as needed. Analyzes the testing methodology to identify patterns and trends, and communicates with management to ensure that risks are adequately identified and addressed. 

Responsibilities:
Defines, develops, and implements test cases utilizing current methodologies and helps to write policies and procedures in order to help us get to automation.

 

  • Writes, debugs and maintains test scripts, test cases using test tools (Selenium, TFS, SOAP UI)
  • Report bugs for code errors discovered during test runs
  • Prioritization, planning, and coordination of testing activity
  • Responsible for developing an overall test plan for the system
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing automated test systems for database, mid-tier, and user presentation portions of applications
  • Write individual test for areas in the system, and execute/schedule the tests
  • Analyze test results, document system failures, and work closely with the development staff to resolve issues
  • Assess project risks, identify problems and solutions
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployments
  • Documents policies and procedures and helps to ensure test cases are written in order to be automated

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience

  • Two or more years in a QA Analyst role
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience writing test cases in web-based environments (e.g. HTML, Java, PHP, XML, and .NET framework)
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as Selenium, SOAP, XML, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with relational databases (MS SQL, or MySQL)
  • Experience capturing test requirements, test cases, bugs, and generating test plans that can be used for automated test tools such as Qmetry, HP Quality Center, Test Complete, TFS etc.
  • Experience using MS Office and MS Project to create QA-related documentation and artifacts
  • Solid understanding of the Agile/Scrum software development, QA and software release processes
  • Experience using different test strategies to create automation scripts that cover positive, negative, and edge case testing
  • Must be a detail-oriented self-starter who is highly organized, hands-on, and a team player
  • Experience running tests throughout the development life cycle, unit, functional, regression
  • A good understanding of software testing methodology and approaches, strong ability to assess software quality in an automated fashion
  • Ability to design automated monitoring test suites for continuous functional testing on live web servers
  • Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET preferred
  • Telerik Test Studio/SoapUI/JMeter experience strongly preferred
  • General experience with bug-tracking software (TFS preferred)
  • Good grasp of SQL preferred
