Position Requirements:

The Kiely Family of Companies is seeking a full time Director of Business Development with five plus years’ experience. The Director of Business Development will be primarily responsible for promoting our engineering and construction services to the natural gas, petroleum, and water resources industry. The Director of Business Development will work under direction of the SVP of Business Development & Marketing to develop and execute a comprehensive customer growth plan that increases revenues and profits consistent with the Company’s strategic growth plan and uphold the goals and values established by the Kiely Family of Companies.

Accountabilities:

·         Continuously seek new business opportunities that are candidates for Kiely’s list of value added services.

·         Establish fresh sourcing industry membership, events, commercial mailing lists, etc. Interfaces with Marketing & Sales team to assure potential customer opportunities are initiated and tracked.

·         Responsible for follow through on leads and growth opportunities for the Kiely Family of Companies.

·         Performs market research and analysis.

·         Furnishes marketing advice, counsel and general staff support to all departments within the Kiely Family of Companies.

·         Monitors external and internal environment for new growth opportunities.

·         Assists in or produces feasibility studies/business plans for new growth opportunities.

·         Manage customer expectations and interactions throughout the proposal process.

·         Conduct and report on win/loss analyses through debrief interviews with customers.

·         Develop, implement and maintain a customer matrix for the BD&M department to follow based on hours and dollars.

·         List and track individual business development opportunities using Salesforce and provide the SVP of Business Development status and progress goals.

·         Actively identify customer and market needs through collaboration with Engineering, Construction, Business Development, Marketing and Executive Management teams input to create new growth and service opportunities.

·         Drive process improvements where needed to improve quality, creativity, sales and account management processes, and customer service.

·         Develop and maintain new and existing relationships with customers, assessing customer satisfaction and seek cross sell opportunities.

·         Provide superior customer service and business development opportunities for internal business units.

·         Serve, where required, as a point of contact for mitigating all internal and external customer issues.

·         Assists in the planning and promoting of any event that highlights corporate services.

·         Manage customer expectations and interactions throughout the proposal process.

·         Communicate and coordinate with the SVP of BD/M & Director of Marketing & Sales marketing campaigns and related business development events. Supplies content for internal and external communications.

·         Support and provide input to regulatory activities as they relate to utility business development opportunities and/or impacts to the construction industry.

·         Represent the Kiely Family of Companies at industry related trade shows, conferences, seminars and/or customer events.

·         Ensure fulfillment of brand messaging including customer satisfaction and experience is delivered and maintained.

·         Develop and implement integrated marketing and business development strategies including sales and customer account plans.

·         Assists the Director of Marketing in the development of Company brochures or other print or digital material to market our Company services.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Five or more years of proven experience increasing revenue growth for a professional services company.

·         Natural Gas, Petroleum and Water Resources industry experience required.

·         Experience in the utility & underground construction industry required.

·         Entrepreneurial drive with proven success increasing company sales required.

·         Must be willing to travel 50% -- domestic

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University in business, marketing or related field.

·         Strong commitment to external and internal customer service and satisfaction required.

·         Analytical skills specifically in marketing and sales analysis required.

·         Excellent management skills required.

·         Proficient communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills required.

·         Strategic thinking skills

·         Problem Solving/Analysis Ability

·         Excellent Time Management skills
