Job Description:
- Main responsibility is the design and development of piezo-based products creating the next generation of highly specialized pumps, valves and actuators across a broad range of customers within the Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Automotive and medical Industries. Solve complex problems and produce designs to integrate into challenging environments from highly corrosive terrain to operating rooms.
- Support sales team as necessary to develop proposals, define customer requirements, and create new product specifications.
- Transfer designs from research and development into production documenting components, designs, processes and tools.
- Provide engineering technical drawings encompassing product assemblies, generation of Bills of Materials, Manufacturing details of high tolerance, precision components.
- Collaborate and provide guidance to other engineers and/or engineering staff.
- This position reports to senior management.
Required skills/Qualifications:
- Confirm a minimum level of education: Accredited Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Exhibit an ability to work individually with minimum supervision and complete task oriented goals within a given schedule.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate a broad range of technical knowledge, subjects such as Machine Design, Engineering statics, Fluids, Materials, Dynamics and vibration.
- Must have proven design skills with Solidworks, AutoCad, MathCad and a professional understanding in the use of FEA simulation techniques for solving complex problems.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills, ability to explain problem solving techniques and provide examples of past written presentations.
- Establish them within the current team framework and coordinate activities and resources throughout the product cycle; Sales and customer support, Prototype design and Engineering, interfacing and support of Manufacturing and Testing.
