Regional Manager - Sales
- Full-Time
Plans, directs and coordinates sales organization (regional team) to drive product and system sales to Silvercote customers. Serves as a leader for the inside and outside sales team within the designated region by developing sales territories, quotas and goals and establishes training needs. Analyzes sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements, and monitors preferences of customers. This role is based in the southeaster part of the United States. The territory stretches east from Texas to the Carolinas, candidates must reside within the territory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Lead, mentor and train sales team on key areas such as product knowledge, go to market strategies, time in territory management and closing the sale
· Manage the performance and development of the sales staff by utilizing the Performance Planning and Development process
· Support Corporate Office in identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; recommend options and courses of action; and implement directives
· Develop and implement regional and territory business plans that support corporate objectives
· Build rapport with key individuals at large accounts when making joint sales calls with sales teams to customers, influencers, and prospects
· Work in collaboration with Pricing Manager to determine effective market pricing strategies
· Oversee sales activities and administrative efforts of Territory Sales Managers
· Achieve financial objectives by preparing and managing an annual budget
· Perform all administrative functions in a timely manner
· Ownership of driving designated sales initiatives
· Must be proficient in blue print reading and technical building construction
· Participate in the selection, on boarding, and training of all new hires within the sales team
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
· Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field
Experience:
· Minimum five (5) years' National Account, Regional Sales Management or Marketing Management experience, preferably in the Building Materials industry
· Minimum three (3) years' experience managing/developing a team of field sales representatives
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Microsoft Office software (Proficient)
· Knowledge of Sales and Marketing principles
· Knowledge of construction industry
· Communication skills and service orientation
· Negotiation and public speaking skills
· Time management and organization skills
· Ability to coach others using critical thinking to resolve complex problems
· Ability to assess financial impact of decisions and choose appropriate option

· May be required to walk long distances

· Travel is approximately 50% of time
