MICROSOFT CONSULTANT / SCOM 2012 / SCOM R2 / SCOM 2016 / DISTRIBUTED APPLICATIONS / XML MANAGEMENT PACKS / WINDOWS SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR / LONG TERM CONTRACT / IMMEDIATE START

LOCATION: Cologne, Germany

DURATION: To start ASAP until December 2018

CLEARANCE: SC Cleared / NATO Secret Cleared / EU Clearance

RATE: EUR75 - 85 per hour

Dominant Skills:

* Competent SCOM 2012 R2/2016 experience, including creating Distributed Applications and installing, configuring and editing (xml) management packs.

Scope of work: (do not include internal documents i.e. SoW)

* Management and maintenance of physical and virtualized windows server environment;

* Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups;

* Set-up of new systems upon request;

* Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures;

* Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements;

* Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary;

* Create, change, and delete user/system accounts per request;

* Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues;

* Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies;

* Documentation updates if required;

Experience Required:

* 10 years' experience on Windows system administration;

* 5 years' experience with Microsoft System Center Suite (Operations Manager and Configuration Manager)

Soft skills required:

* Professional knowledge of English (C1 level)
