(Archived) Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Rehab – Pittsburgh VA

Loyal Source Government Services is currently hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) with Cardiac Rehab experience to work for the VA Healthcare Center in Pittsburgh, PA as a civilian.

REQUIREMENTS:

• ANY STATE LICENSE
• BSN/ADN
• ACLS & BLS
• Evidence ekg monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation

• Pre-review patient medical carts to understand patient related medical complication and medications- if based on review there are concerns follow up with appropriate actions
• Perform patient assessment, med rec, cardiac overview, appropriateness for participation in CR in collaboration with the rehab attending physician
• Refer to other services and case manage if/as needed
• Provide intro education on cardiac management and the role of cardiac rehab.
• Assist with the set up and running of patients
• Vitals, hook up telemetry, initial overview of patients stability prior to exercise
• Monitor and interpret the telemetry system
• Case management – cover any medical concerns that occur during the session
• Provided education sessions
• Administer exercise sessions
• Monitor and case manage patients in the home program. Via weekly telephone calls fit around the available schedule.
• Education, monitor home stability via phone monitoring
