Job Description: Mayville State University welcomes applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology beginning August, 2018. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field (or evidence of Ph.D. by the beginning of the Fall 2018 semester, ABD considered). A successful candidate will teach at least 12 credit hours per semester which may include both face-to-face and online instruction. Summer instruction may also be considered. Teaching responsibilities will include, but not limited to, general/introductory biology, immunology, biochemistry, and anatomy and physiology.

Minimum qualifications:
* Master's degree in Biology or closely related field
* Demonstration of clear, written and oral communication skills
* Demonstration of organizational skills
* Proficient use of instructional technology

Preferred qualifications:
* Ph.D. in Biology or closely related field
* Higher education instructional experience
* Background in K-12 education
* Assessment knowledge/experience within the classroom setting
* Evidence of involvement in extramural funded research
* Postdoctoral experience
* Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment
