Legal Counsel Equity Structured Products

Our client, a global tier 1 investment bank, is looking for someone to join their team working at VP level within their Structured Platforms legal team. This is a permanent role based in London.

The role will be responsible for the development, structuring and documenting of securities derivatives transactions whilst coordinating with front office. Your main responsibility will be focusing on equities. Fixed income and commodities and the drafting of any surrounding legal documentation for products that require note, certificate or warrant transactions

Accountability

• Support and provide advice for the securitised products business with daily needs
• Oversee the process for legal and listing documentation required for trades and draft and negotiate ancillary documentation including distribution and confidentiality agreements, investor representation etc.
• Coordinate with the organisation when managing adjustment and any unexpected issues that arise
• Ensuring compliance with risk controls across the business

Skills and experience

• Qualified solicitor
• Working transactions experience
• Good knowledge of financial services regulations and law relevant to securitised products including MiFID and FSA's Treating Customers Fairly initiatives.
• Knowledge of US securities law and European security law will also be beneficial
• Strong experiences drafting and negotiating legal documentation surrounding trades
