The VP/Sr. Director Revenue Cycle Management - Effectively plans, directs, and manages the Extended Business Office- Insurance (EBOINS) operations in the Charlotte, NC corporate office and is accountable for the overall operating performance of the insurance follow unit.  In conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President develops and implements staff programs and processes to assure efficient and effective operations and receivables management performance. The primary function of this position is to provide leadership to a multi-dimensional and complex operation that includes multiple clients spanning over hospitals, integrated delivery systems and provider offices.  As a senior management member, the incumbent will be responsible for directing tasks, communication and managing interactions with stakeholders, enhancing complex client relationships and achieving support and agreement from involved parties across MedARx and client revenue cycle operations. 

Provides leadership and directives to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate; timely follow-up and resolution of unpaid claims. 

Develops mechanisms to assess and measure, KPIs, service levels and client satisfaction. 

Qualifications 

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare, or related discipline OR equivalent of education and experience required 

7-10+ Years of healthcare management/ leadership as a Director, Manager or VP role with a health system, hospital or large physician group revenue cycle management area

Experience in leading large revenue cycle teams of 100+ in an Extended Business Office Model, CBO, Business Office or Shared Service Center required

Extensive knowledge and experience in revenue cycle operations and large scale receivables management 

Knowledge and experience in insurance follow up, denials and payment mechanisms. 

Knowledge of specialized software and systems related to departmental operations, including: Demonstrated successful managerial experience in managing large business office production shops in a service or call center environment 

Knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools such as Microstrategy, Power BI, Crystal Reports, etc. highly desired

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, managers, and the public timely and professionally

Human Resources Management skills to hire and train employees, appraise work performance, address employee relations issues, and resolve problems 

Demonstrated proficiency in situational and change leadership, effective fiscal management, resource allocation, strategy and planning within a dynamic environment. 

Some travel up to 50%  for client meeting and regional locations

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Master’s Degree in Business, Healthcare, or other related discipline. 

Epic Resolute HB and/or PB Epic, ETM, STAR, Meditech, Artiva, On-Base, etc. 

Staff Development, Coaching, and Client Relations
