Board Certified OB/GYN needed for exceptional facility nestled between the Great Smoky Mountains, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Pisgah National Forest in the gorgeous state of North Carolina...ideal place to spend some time during the Fall and Winter seasons!
Medical Doctor Associates (MDA) is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible OB/GYN to assist an established single specialty group with 24 hour call coverage. Responsibilities include attending C-sections and deliveries, rounding on Level 1 nursery, admitting OB/Gyn patients, emergent gynecological cases. Proficiency in laparoscopic procedures is required. At present - need coverage ongoing 4 days a week in clinic + every third weekend call 169 bed facility with 4 ob/gyns on staff and 1 Gyn Hospital EMR is McKesson Paragon / Practice: Athena This vacancy will extend for multiple months while we recruit for a permanent MD provider. It could be 2-4 months – but we would of course provide 30 days notice when a doctor is hired and the assignment will be ending. Covering clinic 3-4 days a week. Procedures: Emergent (via ED) cases such as ectopics, D&E, C-sections, lap ovarian torsion + IUD Open to providers who are available for multi-week or multi-month assignment. Temporary privileges to be granted. For full clinical privileges,120 days are allowed; average is 90 days to go through the complete application process with committee approval. Newer space in building on hospital campus. 8 exam rooms, 2 procedure room, 1 ultrasound room, moderate complexity CLIA lab. Hospital deliveries: In 2014: 267 deliveries including 62 C-sections Travel needs paid for, including hotel stay, rental car, as well as airfare (if needed).
