Merge Labs is a VR/AR company focused on pushing the boundaries of imagination and technology. We’re merging the physical and digital worlds, building new types of games, toys, and experiences for everyone, ages 10 and up.

We’re looking for a high impact VP of MARKETING with deep experience in brand and consumer product marketing, that has vision, creativity and contagious energy, and will lead marketing initiatives that make our brand an international household name. This Senior-level, full-time role is located along the iconic Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio, TX.

Qualified Candidates will have:
  • 10+ years experience in a lead marketing role
  • 5+ years of experience managing marketing teams and budgets
  • 5+ years experience managing marketing campaigns for consumer products and product launches that drive sales
  • Strong demonstrable experience for building successful marketing positioning, strategy and storytelling
  • Proven ability to develop and manage marketing teams, strategic marketing programs, and day-to-day programs and campaigns
  • Ability to develop compelling and clear marketing and creative briefs that reflect both company and customer needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships critical to success – both within and outside of the company
  • Ability to travel for events, including international travel

Typical duties include:
  • Work with Executive team to develop Marketing Strategy and Goals
  • Develop and demonstrate an insightful understanding of our company, our market and competitive landscape, and integrate them into messages that position Merge as a leader in the mobile VR/AR kids space
  • Ensure success throughout the sales funnel, including demand-generation, sales enablement, and customer retention
  • Lead and manage Marketing, PR, Advertising, Online Marketing, Channel Marketing, and Event Marketing
  • Develop an effective merchandising program with retailers including: training and education, promotions, pop, distributor and reseller relations.
  • Craft a brand story within the the landscape of consumer VR/AR, specifically for kids
  • Participate in creating strategic partnerships and alliances
