We also have preschools co-located at our six elementary sites. We have various theme based schools: Montessori, Immersion (Spanish and Mandarin), and STEM. The San Mateo Foster City School District is looking for people to translate written documents and interpret oral communications for parents and teachers. We are looking for all languages, but are most in need of translators/interpreters of Spanish, Turkish, Japanese, Hindi, Mandarin, ASL, Hindi, and Tongan. Translators will attend meetings and parent-teacher conferences to support interpretation for parents. Translators also support the district and school sites with written translation of documents and report card comments. Applicants must have an extensive vocabulary in both languages and follow confidentiality guidelines of the District. Applicants will be interviewed and their oral and written abilities will be assessed before acceptance onto the list of approved translators. Salary: $25.00 per hour - as needed Please complete a district application and mail to the address at the top of the application.
