THE COMPANY:
Our client is an international investment brokerage company based in the City. They are currently recruiting for an Entry Level CASS Assistant to join the team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.


THE ROLE:
  • Providing support to the CF10a
  • Supporting and engaging with the FCA in documenting necessary policies and procedures
  • Initial collation, quality assurance and production of the monthly CASS Management Information Pack for Senior Management
  • Understand and document Treasury systems and controls
  • Oversee responsibility for monthly updates in the CASS controls matrix
  • Work closely and pro-actively maintaining and developing relationships with the Risk team and the Chief Risk Officer
  • Help prepare CASS reports as required for quarterly Board Meetings
  • Participate in quality assurance testing across all CASS related areas of the company
  • Initial collation and quality assurance of the monthly CMAR regulatory filing
  • Carrying out spot checks and audits on the calculation to ensure that correct determination methodology has taken place with the adequate guidance
  • Root cause analysis associated with potential and actual errors & incidents and leverage lessons learnt to drive change
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance of the CASS Resolution Packs (CASS RP) including the monthly/quarterly oversight reporting and documentation of any findings
  • Track and update any related CASS breach
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes including participating in external seminars and trainings
 
THE PERSON:
  • 1-2 years’ experience (preferably within the Financial Services industry, ideally within a brokerage environment)
  • Basic knowledge of Derivatives and Securities products
  • Strong internal relationship management skills
  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise, be flexible and respond to changing environments
  • Strong track record in process reengineering and improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage the impact of, and response to, issues or incidents arising
  • Strong attention to detail
