A fantastic opportunity exists for experienced IT Support Technician/Engineer with good commercial awareness.

We are recruiting for a successful company, based in East Kent, who are seeking a proactive IT Support Technician to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will come from a managed services background, have good business sense and enjoy working in a client facing role, supporting their customers throughout the Kent area.

Key duties:

* Provide effective 2nd line technical support for client's hardware and software issues;
* Proactively resolve all problems ticketed and deliver excellent customer service, providing regular updates;
* Be aware of potential problems and issues, finding solutions to resolve;
* Complete all documentation for each job accurately;
* Be commercially aware, with cost management in mind.

Technical Competencies:

* Two-three years' experience in an IT support role, in a busy environment;
* Must have 1st and 2nd line experience, working for a managed services background;
* Understanding of TCP, IP, UDP;
* Experience of Ticketing system (Autotask, ConnectWise);
* Knowledge of Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10;
* Knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2012 r2 and 2016;
* Knowledge of Office 365 / Microsoft Azure;
* Knowledge of AV Solutions Webroot and Sophos;
* MSP experience desirable.

The Person:

* Must have a full driving licence;
* Confident customer facing skills;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual;
* Ability to prioritise workloads effectively;
* Flexible approach to working outside of normal office hours if required;
* A formal Microsoft qualification would be desirable.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm

The client can offer a competitive salary with a company pension and the offices are in a great location with excellent on-site facilities.

Travel expense paid (45p per mile, use of own vehicle).
