The New York State Unified Court System, Division of Technology, has the following positions available in its Troy, NY office.

Windows Systems Administrator

The successful candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience managing servers (physical and virtual).  Experience working with Cloud technologies is preferred.

Candidates should have the following skills/experience:

  • Administration of Active Directory.
  • Installation, configuration, management and use of Microsoft System Center and related packs (Configuration Manager, Virtual Machine Manager, Orchestrator, Operations Manager, etc.)
  • Extensive PowerShell scripting.
  • Management of Office 365 using PowerShell and the portal (Azure AD, Exchange Online, Security & Compliance Center, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Skype for Business online.
  • Office 365 security (MFA, DLP, Threat management, Reporting)
  • Active Directory Federation Services, Azure Active Directory Connect.
  • Azure Security and Identity, Monitoring and Management, Storage, Networking, Compute, Web and Mobile.
  • Administration of Citrix XenApp, SharePoint, Quest Active Roles.

Oracle Database Administrator

The successful candidate should have a minimum three years of experience managing Oracle databases in a 24x7 production environment.

Candidates should have the following skills/experience in Oracle 12 or above

  • Software installs (client and server), patches, upgrades, configuration.
  • Backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Performance monitoring, testing, and tuning.
  • Excellent Unix/Linux scripting skills.
  • Excellent SQL, PL/SQL skills.

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Oracle 12 containers
  • Oracle Data Guard
  • Oracle on VMWare/Hyper-V
  • Oracle in the cloud
  • Enterprise storage and storage protocols

Software Developers

Looking for talented developers to help build innovative software using mobile, desktop, and web technologies.  Our application development team creates advanced solutions for some of the largest courts in the world.   As a developer, you’ll help us produce applications to support our current and future needs, including exciting new initiatives like paperless courts, remote court hearings, and expanded mobile notifications. 

We provide a dynamic hands-on environment with challenging work and many opportunities to advance your skillset.  Work with us as part of a dedicated team using rapid paced agile software development techniques. You’ll help your team ship the solutions you develop and be able to see the improvements we can bring to people’s lives as we assist the courts to meet their increasing demands. 

Experience with Java and/or C# and familiarity with databases and SQL is a plus.

PC Support Technician

  • Candidates must have working experience with the evaluation, installation, troubleshooting, and inventory control of PCs, peripherals, and associated applications.
  • Expertise with Windows servers or Storage Area Network is required.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Oracle, SQL Server, Datacom/DB, or Net App products is a plus.
  • Required skills include, but not limited to, Windows 7, Windows 10, Office 365, AD account management, and desktop management tools. Desirable qualities include working well with end users and technical staff alike, being organized, and paying attention to details.
