Job Description

The position of Driver/Warehouse Helper was established for the purpose/s of providing support to supply chain operations with specific responsibilities of safely transporting materials/tools via a company vehicle over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles; and performing general warehouse duties such as loading/unloading trucks, and shipping and receiving materials.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Driver/Warehouse Helper

Essential Functions

·Drives vehicles (e.g. company vehicle, box truck rental etc.) for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites.

·Delivers a variety of items to project job-sites (e.g. materials, boxes, equipment, etc.) for the purpose of distributing items form internal or external sources over scheduled and/or unscheduled routes to assigned locations and/or individuals.

·Maintains company vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the safe operation on vehicle.

·Receiving stock items utilizing WASP inventory software for the purpose of ensuring accurate inventory control.

·Perform periodic cycle count of stock items to ensure accurate database inventory for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.

·Pick order preparation for Operations dept. by pulling from stock using a scanner and staging material in a designated project location.

·Coordination with company Procurement Specialist/Supply Chain Managers to ensure material is ordered/received to fulfill open project requirements.

·Loads and unloads company trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport.

·Perform transactions in Customer database to accurately account for Customer owned assets and equipment released for project installation.

·Prepare equipment for shipment by proper packing of boxes, creating shipping labels and delivery to shipping location or make ready for pick-up by carriers.

·Perform other office duties including light maintenance (e.g. trash, bathroom paper towels, change light bulbs, etc.)

·Cleans warehouse for the purpose of maintaining a safe and sanitary work area.

 

Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:

 

· Adhering to safety practices

· Self-motivated, able to perform duties under minimum supervision.

· Operating equipment used in warehouse operations, such as forklift and pallet jack.

· Operating standard office equipment including basic computer use pertinent software applications such as Microsoft Office.

· KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math; understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions

 

Physical Working Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:

· Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling

· Significant climbing and balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.

 

Experience requirement.

Education, Certificates, & Licenses requirements;

High School diploma or equivalent.

Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability.

Clear driving record

Forklift certificate a plus

Must pass Criminal Justice Background Check and Drug Screen
