The Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA), a progressive water utility providing water, sewer and reclaimed water services to the Towns of Chapel Hill, Carrboro and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, seeks a Business Systems Analyst for our Information Technology Department. 

The ideal candidate will be an action-oriented strategic-thinker with the ability to effectively communicate complex subject matters to fulfill the mission and goals of the organization. Interacts with the advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) software vendors, contractors, and OWASA field service staff. Work requires a high level of independent and creative thought to address operational issues.

This position is responsible for analyzing business processes, making recommendations for solutions or improvements using new or existing technology. Individual will act as liaison between business stakeholders and IT by analyzing and communicating stakeholder needs and identifying and tracking performance metrics to enhance project success.

This position performs management and oversight of OWASA’s AMI system to ensure system performance to include training and support to users of the AMI system.

Position requires a Bachelor degree with three to five years of relevant experience.  Valid North Carolina Class C driver’s license required.

Salary range: $53,594 - $82,533
