A global organisation based in Brighton is looking for a Tax Manager to join their Tax Accountancy team.

The successful candidate will be required to manage and control the UK tax affairs for the company including VAT compliance, US tax reporting, UK corporation tax compliance, risk management and support relationship with HMRC.

You will be responsible for the review and coordination of all internal and external tax related returns and submissions.

As well as a strong understanding of UK tax laws and exposure to international tax accounting and reporting, their will be a number of further responsibilities:

* Manage outsourcing partners to coordinate the preparation of statutory tax reports and filings, liaising with senior management, external auditors and the tax authorities as required.
* Manage VAT & other indirect tax and audit queries from the business and HMRC.
* Work with other departments, particularly Procure to Pay and Order to Cas to ensure VAT controls maintained.
* Work with EMEA Tax Manager and International Tax COE to craft and implement potential new GBS Tax structures.
* Manage tax queries and audit issues from external auditors and tax authorities, relative to the UK tax filings and tax/Vat accounting.

Person Specification:

* Able to hit the ground running with In-house tax experience
* Excellent VAT knowledge - UK/International goods/trade issues
* CTA or ATT qualified, or qualified by experience, and technically competent of U.K. tax law/legislation, rules and tax accounting
* Experience of interpreting and clearly articulating complex tax matters
* Influencing senior management
* Exposure to US & UK GAAP tax accounting
* SAP general ledger experience preferred
* CCHI experience preferred



This is a temporary assignment lasting for up to 12 months with the possibility of going perm depending on performance.

Salary will be an hourly rate, circa £21.

Location is based in the middle of Brighton and easily walk-able from the train station.
