ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL TECH AND TEST

Electrical control testing tech

Work with application engineers and test electrical control panels. Secondary duties involve the construction of different control panels.

· Understand circuit functions and assist Application Engineers.

· Capable of some designing/fabricating test procedures and setups to test custom industrial control panels.

• Good with hand tools and some power tools.
• Can learn to edit some electrical drawings when necessary.

· Work with 480 volts, 3 phase power when necessary

· Some familiarity with NEC and UL 508A.

· ability to read and understand electrical panel schematics. (contactors, relays, fuses, PLC connections etc)

• Troubleshoot electrical panel issues.
• Identify problems during the production process.
• Possess good judgment and the ability to exercise initiative.
• Willingness to work overtime as required or assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
• basic solder skills.

· Ability to Work with most Microsoft Office Programs

· Knowledge & Program skills for PLC’s a plus.

· Basic Knowledge of AutoCad Electric a plus or similar would be nice.

Need to be good at math calculation and care about being very precise.
