"Construction Project Supervisor is a hands-on position that is expected to provide leadership, management, and supervision necessary for the planning, lay-out, and performance of commercial tenant improvement projects within the SRPMIC.  This includes all types of carpentry, finishes, and concrete work in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.  This position will plan and coordinate the efforts of all craft persons under their supervision, monitor the completion of each construction phase through coordination, scheduling, and inspection of each job, and ensure quality, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction are in accordance with the goals and objectives.  The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of commercial construction practices, experience as a foreman level or above, and be able to complete all phases of commercial tenant improvement projects with little to no supervision."

Definition: Under limited supervision, performs skilled trade work, trains trade apprentices, and assists in inspections, construction and repairs of commercial, residential, educational and medical facilities within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in accordance with building and safety code regulations. This job class is treated as FLSA Non-exempt.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. 

Experience: Five (5) years field experience as journeyman in one or a variety of construction fields including steel stud framing, drywall, tape & texture, painting, flooring, concrete, or roofing, with the ability to learn other trades as necessary. Journeyman Certification preferred.  Two (2) years of experience in supervision on commercial projects or construction management.   
 
Equivalency – Any equivalent combination of training and experience that would enable the candidate to satisfactorily perform and meet the duties and responsibilities required may be considered in meeting the stated minimum qualifications.  
 
Insurability: Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License and meet the SRPMIC insurance standards.
