Chief Business Officer

Duties:  The Chief Business Officer (CBO) position is a full time position with responsibilities for directing the business operations of the LME-MCO, which include the Finance, Business Intelligence, Information Technology and Facilities Management departments.  The position plans, organizes, develops and evaluates business operations in these areas. It functions independently under the supervision of the Deputy Director/Chief Operating Officer, serves as liaison to the Finance Committee of the Center’s Board of Directors and collaborates with the CEO and Deputy Director/COO in the areas of strategic planning and development of proposals and recommendations to the Board of Directors. The CBO represents Sandhills Center and participates in business operations focused meetings, conferences and events locally, regionally and at the statewide level.

Minimum Requirements:  Master’s degree in public administration or business administration and 5 years of management experience in the planning, administration and management of business or government programs and three years in an increasingly responsible supervisory position; OR, graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration or related field and 7 years of management experience in business or governmental programs and 5 years in an increasingly responsible supervisory position.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong financial management background with experience in directing business operations in a capitated managed care or healthcare environment.
