The Requirements
To be a strong fit for the role of Sales Representative, you should have:- 3+ years of outside sales experience with proven success selling packaging solutions. - A bachelor’s degree (highly preferred), or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A track record of success identifying new prospects, building relationships and closing new business.
- Expertise in one or more verticals, such as craft beer, food & beverages, retail, etc. is an advantage.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to collaborate with other team members.
- Understanding of custom printing.
- Distributor experience is a plus.

The Role
Reporting to the Director of Sales, as a Sales Representative for Saxco International, you will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of sales packaging materials and services (glass bottles, corrugated and fiberboard packaging, specialty corks and closures, secondary packaging, decorating services, etc.) to existing and prospective customers.Existing accounts in your territory are heavily weighted toward craft breweries, however, you will be free to widen that footprint, and grow new business in multiple segments. Typically, our sweet spot is small to mid-sized companies that are growing and require our full range of products and services. You are, however, free to call on any account from start-ups to enterprise-level accounts, as long as you are meeting and/or exceeding established goals. The length of the sales cycle is dependent on the complexity of the packaging solution needed. A straight bottle and label may close very quickly, whereas complex solutions requiring a mix of materials or large organizations may take longer. You'll balance your targets to maintain a steady flow of business.

- Sell packaging products and custom services to current and prospective customers.
- Develop and maintain the relationships with customers, prospects, peers and leadership.
- Spend the majority of your time acting as a rainmaker, generating opportunities and closing new business.
- Maximize present and long-term sales and gross profits.
- Work effectively with all departments including Marketing, Customer Service, Production and Logistics to address key business issues and opportunities.
- Attend Sales meetings as required.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Continue learning and evolving your skills and knowledge to stay abreast of product offerings and trends.
- Travel throughout your territory as needed to meet your goals.
