Job Summary: Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of corporate engineering projects.

Summary of primary job functions:

-Develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis.

-Increase productivity through management of people, methods and technology.

-Design or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods as well as determine most efficient plant locations.

-Propose budgets for projects and determine staff, training, and equipment needs for the project.

-Improve manufacturing processes and manage new product design.

-Confer with corporate management to establish production efficiency and budgetary goals, and determine profit improvement programs.

-Determine product labor costs. Summary of additional job functions -Supervise plant engineers, technicians, and equipment maintenance personnel.

-Direct and coordinate installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in the production facilities.

-Direct and coordinate the preparation of layouts of machinery, the flow of work, statistical studies and analyze production costs.

-Work with equipment manufacturers to develop new or improved specialized equipment to manufacture products with greater efficiency and better quality.

-Develop sewing guides and attachments to make manufacture more efficient. Ideal candidate will have a full understanding of engineering concepts of time management and have product costing experience.

Should be able to break down operations within a product. Should be able to layout a production line for maximum efficiency. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, and will regularly interact with a wide variety of our customers, SEKRI senior management, suppliers and partner non-profit agencies. Working conditions are normal office environment with frequent travel to plant locations. Working conditions at plant locations are normal manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
