Registered Dental Hygienist Part Time

Part time Dental Hygienist needed for solo private, adult based practice dentist to replace recently retired staff member.  One to two days per week.

Need a team member who has the ability to quickly bond with patients, providing not only excellent technical skills, but an ability to motivate and explain the importance of both hygiene as well as restorative treatment to maintain optimum oral health. The dentist primarily provides advanced restorative care for patients, such as adhesive ceramic restorations and veneers, as well as everyday treatment like occasional resins and crowns/bridges.  Emphasis on orthodontic treatment with Invisalign, and occlusion and sleep bruxism identification and protection.  It's okay if you're not familiar with the emphasis of the dentist on occlusion, but you must be curious, and open to learning so that you can reinforce the need for care to help patients with these issues.  Patients often look to the Hygienist as the team member who best explains to them the "why and what for" of their oral health.  You'll be in a unique and important position to screen, explain and reinforce what you learn.  Staff members long term in the small practice.  Over 90% insurance based PPO plans. 

You'll use digital photography, digital Dexis xrays system, and Florida Probe voice activated probing records by wireless headset.  Training will be provided in these systems.
