Job Description

Last Update: 7/11/19

Carondelet Medical Group has opportunities for a Gastroenterologist to practice in a rapidly growing program. Our system is comprised of three hospital campuses and an integrated network of both primary and specialty care practices in Tucson and the greater Tucson area. The Gastroenterology services include diagnostic evaluation, consultation, medical management and treatment for patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas, and a minimally demanding call schedule.

  • Full time position available, adding a physician due to volume and growth
  • Training and/or experience in ERCP and procedures (colonoscopy, endoscopy, EUS, etc.) is preferred
  • Join an established multi-specialty medical group of providers with clinical and administrative support staff in place

As with any knowledge-based industry, Carondelet recognizes that people are our most precious resource. Therefore, our chief goal is to attract physicians who appreciate the idea of working on a team; who enjoy being surrounded by extraordinary colleagues who are all interested in providing the very best patient care possible.

Carondelet has established expectations for every physician, based on our core values of being patient centered, teamwork minded and providing the highest quality care possible. We provide support and mentoring in addition to opportunities for pursuing individualized career paths within the organization.

If you are a Gastroenterologist who shares our vision, we would like to talk with you. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Please submit your CV for consideration. No Visa Sponsorship is available at this time.

Community Overview

Tucson is a city of 1 million people that is often described as having a smaller town feel. Surrounded on all sides by mountain ranges, Tucson is renowned for its natural beauty and sunsets. Located in the high Sonoran desert, it offers great outdoor recreation (hiking, biking, golf, etc.) and is only a 45-minute drive to alpine forests and skiing and 4 hours to the beach in Mexico. Other highlights include more than 350 days of sunshine, affordable housing, low property and gas taxes, and growing communities.

University of Arizona is located just minutes from the heart of downtown – a hub of excellent restaurants, gastropubs and theaters. Tucson is home to Davis Monthan Air Force base, the University of Arizona, and Fortune 500 companies including Raytheon Missile Systems and Roche/Ventana Medical Systems.
