Job Description

Last Update: 7/17/18
Children’s Hospital of Michigan is actively seeking a Pediatric Interventional Radiologist to join their expanding division to better serve the radiological needs of the children in Metro-Detroit. The Division of Pediatric Radiology is comprised of 6 physicians and have performed over 90,000 exams last year. The physicians hold faculty appointments at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and teach rotating residents from several radiology programs in Southeast Michigan. Additionally, the department offers an ACGME-accredited fellowship in pediatric radiology.

The ideal candidate would spend approximately 60% of their time in pediatric interventional radiology and 40% in pediatric diagnostic radiology, with proportionate call responsibilities. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call will be divided with other department members. On average, there are approximately 700 radiology procedures performed each day at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, including inpatient and outpatient, at the main hospital as well as satellite locations.

Academic responsibilities include supervising and providing formal and informal teaching to pediatric radiology fellows, radiology residents, and medical students.

Candidates must be BE/BC with fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology and Interventional Radiology, with comfort in performing routine pediatric interventional procedures.
