Job Description


The Doe Run Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead underground and surface engineering projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and inspect current facilities and construction and maintenance projects
  • Provide technical support to all SEMO division departments
  • Manage maintenance projects by coordinating internal and external resources, selecting and supervising consultants and contractors and the selecting and purchasing of equipment
  • Produce design and specs for projects
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering plus seven to ten (7-10) years hands on working as a mechanical engineer
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license for the state of Missouri
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be an effective communicator (verbal and written), able to offer technical expertise and guidance, building rapport with department team members
  • Ability to use appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build cohesive project teams and facilitate the completion of projects
