Job Description

Do you think that you are employed not to just fix computers, servers or networks, but instead to help people?

Do you have real, interpersonal conversations with friends, co-workers, even people in line at the store (that aren't always about tech stuff)?

If you said yes to these questions, I may want to talk to you.

Our company (The FantasTechs) specializes in people support... we just happen to do so by having expertise working with computers, servers, networks, etc. Our Mission is to bridge the gap between teachers and technology. We accomplish this mission by empowering teachers, staff, and students with outstanding technology support, management and expertise.

Here is the situation:

*We have a vacancy for a full-time, hands-on Systems Admin working directly with one of our school district clients. You will be a full-time, W2 employee with The FantasTechs, but be dedicated to our client location on a full-time basis. This role will need to wear many hats, most importantly managing the network and systems for multiple buildings and helping our team of 6 tech pros provide all levels of support for the students, teachers, and staff. The network and servers have to work... and at a high level!

Experience with providing excellent customer service, and supporting Windows Servers, Google G-Suite, VMWare, SAN/NAS, Network administration (LAN, WAN, VLANs, Managed Wireless etc), data backup, and desktop support (Windows 10) are critical.
Experience with VDI, and new Virtualization build-outs also will be very valuable

*You will get to experience all sorts of technical and business challenges -- help us build this thing!

*Our company is growing rapidly, which is exciting and challenging... we aren't perfect, by any means, but I'm proud of our competitive pay and benefits.
I am also extremely proud of our 30 employees and very passionate about the business and our client schools.

*Of course, you need to be drug free, need to have reliable transportation, and be able to pass all of the client's background checks.

Can you help us change the way people think about technology pros?

If you think this is for you, send me a note and tell me a little about why you go to work every day. If your experiences and note catch my attention, we can line up some time to chat.

Please also include your resume, cover letter, and salary expectations.
