The Maryland State Dept. of Education’s (MSDE) Office of School & Community Nutrition Programs seeks 3 full time Staff Specialists with a strong passion for School and Community Nutrition! Bring your professional, innovative, and creative skills to support the administration and expansion of the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) child nutrition programs in Maryland. (OUTREACH & SPECIAL PROJECTS) / Select Nutrition Initiatives’ Specialist III # 18-005298-0012: responsible for conducting specialized implementation and outreach of select nutrition initiatives & projects including but not limited to Farm to School, program promotion & partnerships, and assessing program needs and data gaps. Nutrition Finance/Grants Specialist III #18-005298-0003: responsible for the administration & management of the financial requirements of USDA child nutrition programs administered by MSDE and for providing technical assistance & training to participating agencies. Nutrition Compliance Specialist III #18-005298-0001: responsible for monitoring & providing technical assistance to school districts, child care centers, and other organizations & sites where children and adults participate in Federal and State nutrition programs administered by MSDE.
