The Dining Room @ Metropolitan Museum of Art. We are looking for qualified candidates for this Modern American Restaurant situated inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Great working environment. Seasonal eclectic menu. Special events , catering, private dinners ,tasting menus and more. Great opportunity for an aspiring chef de partie from a high quality restaurant to test their metal, develop their management skills, technique and overall ability to run a restaurant under the guidance of the executive chef . THE QUALIFICATIONS : - 2 years chef de partie in fine dining restaurant preferably high Michelin rated - meat and fish butchering experience - complete knowledge of all mother sauces, vinaigrettes, emulsifications etc. - strong organizational skills - knowledge of advanced cooking techniques - team player - openness and willingness to learn new techniques - Clean work habits and thorough knowledge of sanitation standards - ability to lead a staff and positively influence employee behavior - Must have excellent verbal and written communication - Must have flexibility with schedule requirements - Culinary degree preferred but not required - Basic computer knowledge including Word and Excel -Must be available to work weekends and some Sundays THE BENEFITS - Competitive compensation package - Major medical insurance options - Dental, Vision and life insurance - Paid vacation - 401k Program - Tremendous Growth Potential
