The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, College of Medicine is recruiting for a board certified or board eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician. This position will provide clinical care, participate in the faculty call schedule and provide coverage for physicians. Opportunities to instruct medical students and residents are available. This position will serve on university, college, departmental, divisional and hospital task force committees. Academic rank and administrative responsibility will be commensurate with experience and productivity. Applicants should have a strong interest in clinical care, academics, teaching and research.
Qualifications:
• Board Certified/Eligible in OBGYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Completion of an accredited residency and fellowship program is desired
• Qualify for academic appointment at the assistant or associate professor rank
During the last decade the Division of MFM has experienced substantial growth to include 8 full time Board Certified faculty and 7 MFM fellows. The Division faculty provides outstanding clinical care to a large and diverse clinical population in state of the art facilities. In 2016 we expanded the divisional High-Risk clinical activities into a brand new, cutting edge outpatient care facility located in Upper Arlington. We are members of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development MFMU and NAFTNET Networks. The MFM Division significantly increased its national ranking and NIH funding level and is conducting clinical, translational and basic science research in collaboration with the Center for Perinatal Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. We offer excellent opportunities for interested academicians to work with outstanding faculty/fellows physicians using the most technologically advanced clinical and research tools.
