Civil Project Engineer -   The Thrasher Group, Inc. is seeking an energetic and motivated Project Engineer to become a full-time member of our Site Department team.    This position can be based from any of our existing office locations. The selected candidate will become part of a team that provides successful design and consulting services to both public and private clientele. 

The ideal candidate will exhibit the following capabilities: 

• Knowledge of civil engineering design practices and an understanding of the project development process.
• Analyze and organize project data with accuracy, neatness and timeliness.
• Understand and follow company standard CAD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for layout.
• Possess the ability to mentor junior staff.
• Prepare and assist with developing project computations, estimates and designs.
• Prepare and calculate off-site data such as storm water runoffs.
• Maintain positive communication with staff and clients.
• Work with project engineer or manager to facilitate project from inception to completion

Qualifications: 

• A BS from ABET accredited university in the field of Civil or Environmental Engineering
• EI Certification is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project engineer capacity is highly desired.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work and learn from project manages.  
• Proficient in using AutoCad with Civil 3D is required.
• Possess the ability to work independently or collaboratively
• Strong communication, leadership and time management skills
• Technical writing ability
