The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UNC Charlotte invites applications for a non-tenure-track Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor (Position #003974) with background in microelectronics fabrication. Candidates should have electrical and mechanical experience on the operation and maintenance of microelectronics fabrication equipment as well as hazardous materials training. Candidates with material growth (such as MBE and/or MOCVD) and device fabrication experience are preferred. Responsibilities will include operation of the department clean room, provide support for research activities involving the use of clean room facilities, and teaching and supervision of students on the fabrication of basic electronic devices, such as solar cells. Candidates will also be required to teach additional courses in design, entrepreneurship, and professional practice, as needed. A PhD in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred but candidates with master degree are also eligible.

The ECE department offers B.S. degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, with over 625 undergraduate and over 200 graduate students.
