Behavioral Health Clinician

Behavioral Health Clinician to provide assessment and evaluation services, formulate effective treatment plans and conduct individual and/or group mental health and/or substance abuse treatment and counseling services

RESPONSIBILITIES include:  Provision of outpatient counseling services to children, adolescents, adults and their families.  The Clinician works as an integral member of the Health Center Care team.    May provide immediate crisis interventions and brief intervention to patients related to health behavior changes.  Document and maintain all clinical interventions in the electronic record.

Position includes one evening per week. Each Behavioral Health Clinician will be responsible to share in on-call on a rotating basis.   

QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum of 2 years’ experience.  Proficient computer skills. EMR experience desirable. Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service and communications skills required. Candidates must have a Masters in Social Work.  Must possess an unrestricted license to practice in RI (LICSW).  LCDP certification/licensure a plus.  Must have excellent written and oral skills. Must have good interpersonal skills and compassion for patients.  Possess the ability to work with individuals with diverse education, economic and cultural backgrounds.  Must work well independently and as a team member.
