The University of Mount Olive, Tillman School of Business (TSB) invites applications for a 9-month, full-time, Computer Information Systems (CIS) Faculty. The Tillman School of Business (TSB) undergraduate programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Computer Information Systems is one of several areas that compose the business core in TSB. CIS is one of seven majors in TSB and are online and at the main campus in Mount Olive, NC with courses offered at seven regional campuses, as well as in the MBA program.

Position Description: The ideal candidate will have a primary emphasis in computer information systems with analytics as a secondary area. Teaching will primarily focus on undergraduate and/or graduate-level CIS courses.

Expectations of candidates are the following: to participate in curricula activities, program assessment, student advising, co-curricular support, and engage in scholarship and institutional service. Teaching the computer information course in the MBA program will be a top priority.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master of Computer Information Systems (CIS) or related field. Degree(s) must be from regionally accredited institution(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred Doctorate in CIS or related field, or on track to complete it prior to joining the University.
  • Additional consideration given to candidates with training and experience in analytics and who are interested in teaching in that area.
  • Industry/professional experience strongly preferred.
